Impulse Buys

The wedding is 4 MONTHS AWAY!  Saying that out loud incites a panic attack inside my head but I'm still keeping cool for now.

With the time ticking away faster and faster, I find myself having the need to snatch up anything that crosses my line of site that could even remotely be used for the wedding.  So far, my impulse buys have worked out or will be used, but I need to get these in check in order to stay within my budget.

My recent grab?  Just a small $170 purchase. . .

I bought myself my very first pair of Ugg boots.  I hadn't hopped on the Ugg craze up until this point.  They weren't really my thing and it seemed like everybody was wearing them and they were too much money.  All of those more rational thoughts went out the door when I watched Oprah's 2010 favorite things show.

Oh how they sparkled!  I immediately thought of wearing these at my reception.  Boots and sparkle?  Sounds like a perfect match for a winter NYE's wedding!

I hemmed and hawed about them for a couple of months and then decided to go for it.  Sold Out!  Of course they were sold out!  The silver were in high demand and the sellers on eBay were taking full advantage asking $300 per pair.  I decided they were just not meant to be.  But as brides, we really don't give up that easy do we?!

I told myself that the closer it gets to winter, more options would pop up and I'm sure I'd find something equally as fun to wear.  Curiosity got the best of me and as I was searching for reception flats on Amazon, I searched for "Ugg sparkle boot."  They had them!  I immediately logged onto UggAustralia and sure enough, there they were.  The size 10 in silver was the only size out of stock, but as a 7.5 girl, I was good to go!  The product description advised going down a size if you were in between so I added the 7 to my shopping cart and checked out as fast as I could.  Free shipping was an added bonus!

I can't wait to get these in and try them on.  The picture on the website makes the silver look a little yellow but I believe that it is just a lighting issue.  The Oprah picture shows a much truer silver.

These will be great for some outside pictures after the ceremony and will hopefully keep my feet cozy and comfortable as we dance the night away!

Are you making lots of impulse purchases for the wedding?
